Cambell Plant - WD National Para-badminton champion!

Amazing news.... Some of you will remember 11 months ago I did a post on LinkedIn talking about the start of my journey coaching Cambell Plant, a former national para-swimmer wanting to make the transition to para-badminton!

This was by no means an easy task, Cambell was new to the sport, we were both juggling work commitments and there was no funding or financial support!
Nationals at the Sheffield UK institute of sport
A year on though...... and she's only gone and done a double at the Badminton England UK National championships 2022 (Sheffield, EIS), winning the women's doubles and coming runners up in the Mixed!
A fantastic achievement.... the hard work, consistency and professionalism shown during training sessions at the University of Bradford sports arena, made my life that much easier as a coach. Giving Cambell the belief that these things are possible, to be brave and to be hungry to learn and improve each week, is why I got into sport coaching and perfomance in the first place!
